Bucks County Courier - September 10, 2013 - Cops: Philadelphia man arrested after slashing 59 chairs at Bensalem casino
Some people do strange things when they gamble. A 28-year-old Philadelphia man allegedly slashed nearly 60 chairs at a Bensalem casino last week, Pennsylvania State Police said.... Surveillance cameras at Parx casino on Street Road on Thursday captured Carlos Urena gambling at several slot machines. The footage also showed him slashing 59 of the slot machine chairs with a razor, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The casino estimated the damage at $4,425, police said.
On Monday, police say that Urena was seen in the casino shortly before 3 p.m. and employees notified state police who arrested him. Urena spoke with police and admitted to slashing the chairs, police said. Court documents do not say why Urena slashed the chairs.
Urena was arraigned Monday before Bristol Township District Judge Joanne Kline on a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief and sent to Bucks County prison in lieu of 10 percent of $25,000 bail.
