Associated Press reports, but it's highly unlikely the outcome of the Tuesday
vote will be changed. The 143 vote difference, out of more than 14,000 ballots
cast, may seem like a tight margin but "is actually quite large," said John
McGarry, executive director of Brockton's elections department. "The numbers are

speculating that city will move ahead of its rivals in the all-important eyes of
the Gaming Commission when the Whaling City votes next month. ""I think it's
