Sulphur, La. — An incident inside of a local casino has led to the arrest of Ron A. Boudreaux, 33, of Loretto Avenue in Sulphur, on charges of simple burglary of a motor vehicle, theft over $500, simple criminal damage to property, and intimidating a victim. It was on March 1, 2012, that Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a business regarding a report of a burglary and theft of a vehicle. According to officials, after a reported verbal altercation inside the casino between the alleged victim and Boudreaux, the Sulphur man allegedly went to the victim’s vehicle in the parking lot, shattered the front passenger window and reportedly stole her phone and laptop computer. Detectives with the Vehicle Crimes Investigation were also notified by the victim that she had recently been allegedly receiving numerous intimidating and threatening text messages from Boudreaux. Boudreaux reportedly confirmed to detectives that he shattered the victim’s front passenger window and stole her cell phone and laptop from inside the vehicle. On April 5, Boudreaux was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $62,000. CPSO Detective Chadwick LeJune is the lead investigator on this case.
