The mighty have
fallen. Two of Atlantic City's largest casinos, including its newest, the $2.4
billion Revel casino, closed their doors this week, adding
some 5,000 workers to the list of the unemployed.
Leaving in their wake
a mess of crushed dreams, broken promises and glimmering monuments to an
industry's oversaturation, self-importance and self-inflicted wounds. In Ohio,
two years after casinos first opened, revenues have still failed to meet
their projections for one year.
Casinos are a mess.
Today, we're two months from Election Day. That's how long we have to educate
voters about what's at stake in November.
We can't relax... and
as much damage as the casinos do to themselves, their damage to communities, and
families, is much, much worse. If casinos win, we all lose.
Join the campaign to stop the casino
mess, please donate, volunteer to help, and follow us on social media. This fall, it's a
Yes on Question 3.
Together, we'll defeat
the casino industry.
