Fight Corruption, Monopoly, and Addiction with One Vote

Granite State Coalition
Against Expanded Gambling

Corruption, monopoly, and addiction. Yes, it's possible to slay three political dragons with a single vote.
While all candidates for Governor (exception: Bill Kennedy) have become pro-casino, candidates for our House and Senate vary across the map. Ask the candidates where they stand, and then vote for those who are firmly opposed.
By voting for candidates who oppose casinos, you can ...
  1. Halt the political corruption seen in every casino state. Why? Casino profits are almost wholly determined by legislators, who set casino locations, competitors, number of slot machines, slots payouts, tax rates, approval of owners, investors, and management, infrastructure subsidies, etc. As a result, gambling interests in every casino state become the dominating political influence, elbowing aside the concerns of ordinary voters, and ultimately corrupting the legislature.
  2. Protect free and fair competition from casino monopolies. How?Casinos use monopoly slots profits to subsidize rooms, meals, entertainment, and retail, thereby cannibalizing revenues and jobs from the thousands of already-existing small businesses that form the backbone of our communities.
  3. Prevent a single Salem casino from addicting 10,000 New Hampshire residents to slot machines, thereby creating 1,200 additional serious crimes, along with sharply increased rates of divorce, family violence, bankruptcy, family debt, and attempted suicide.
Want the proof?

Check out our newly revised and updated 30 Reasons To Oppose Slot Casinos, in bullet points so brief, clear, and well-documented that it will persuade any candidate genuinely and objectively wanting a prosperous and socially-healthy New Hampshire.
Please do more than vote.

Persuade candidates who have do not have a firm position on casinos by phoning them or chatting with them on the campaign trail.

Print and give the candidates these anti-casino talking points for Republicans and Democrats.
Want to do even more?
Hit reply and I will forward you the names, phones, and emails for candidates in the key contests that will determine whether the House and Senate will have the votes next year to legalize casinos.
The New Hampshire primary is Tuesday, September 11.
