Governor "Slot Barns" Dodges Leadership

Lacking any sincere moral compass, Governor "Slot Barns" may not have to voice an opinion, any moral leadership or voice his opposition to the community degradation his Folly will produce.

In spite of lofty rhetoric, how convenient?

And just maybe, this will all be settle via another backroom deal.

Not to worry. With or without "Happy Hours," FREE ALCOHOL offered at the proposed Slot Barns will fill our streets and highways with enough drunks to keep local police, courts and jails busy.

Gov. Patrick mum on casino "happy hour" plan
By Associated Press

Gov. Deval Patrick is keeping mum about whether he supports or opposes a Senate amendment that could ease restrictions on "happy hour" in Massachusetts.

Patrick said "I don’t have a point of view on that yet," when asked Monday about the amendment, which was included in the Senate version of a bill to license three casinos and a single slots parlor in the state.

The amendment would give all of the state’s bars and restaurants the same ability as casinos to offer free or discounted drinks to customers.

Patrick may ultimately not have to weigh in on the amendment, which was not included in the House version of the bill.

It’s unclear if the amendment will survive the process of reconciling both bills into a single piece of legislation
