Associated Press - Jul 26, 2013- Pittsburgh PTA leader charged with $8,500 theft
The president of a Pittsburgh school Parent-Teacher Association has been charged with stealing more than $8,500 earmarked for anti-bullying programs.

The Allegheny County District Attorney's Office charges that 64-year-old Lutual Love Sr. commingled money from a Heinz Endowments grant with his own money, then accessed some at automatic teller machines at Rivers Casino, and used some for personal expenses at a pet store, funeral home and dry cleaners.
Love, who heads the PTA at Pittsburgh Mifflin _ a pre-K through 8 school _ tells the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review "I'm not guilty of anything, and it'll come out in court."
Some have criticized the community activist's role in the PTA, because he has a criminal record, including convictions for drug possession in 1997 and aggravated assault in 1988.
