Last month’s slot-machine revenues at the casinos were close to what they were in October 2012, the month in which Superstorm Sandy wreaked havoc.

Foxwoods Resort Casino reported today that it “won,” or kept, $42.1 million wagered at its machines last month, a 1.9 percent decline over the same month the previous year.

Mohegan Sun kept $49.0 million, up 1.0 percent over October 2012.

Both casinos experienced dramatic year-over-year declines in October 2012. Superstorm Sandy disrupted business on the last weekend of that month, at one point causing state highways to be shut down.

Foxwoods contributed $10.5 million of its slots win to the state; Mohegan Sun anted up $12.2 million.
