Pittsburgh Tribune - March 18, 2014 - Ex-Cecil police chief to face charges he stole money to gamble

A longtime police chief in Washington County was accused on Tuesday of using federal drug-investigation money to gamble at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino and elsewhere.

John T. Pushak, 64, who resigned in April after working nearly four decades as a Cecil police officer, used the funds from a special account that was established for township police in December 2009, according to a criminal complaint.
