Although still sucking massive amounts from the local economy, Rhode Island is so addicted to Gambling Revenues.....anyone notice?
Video slot machine revenue tumbles at RI casinos
The Providence Journal / December 23, 2013
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The state says the Twin River Casino took in more money in the first four months of the budget year, but revenue from video slot machines tumbled.
The Providence Journal reports (

Combined with a $1.4-million drop at the Newport Grand slot parlor, the machines generated $1.9 million less than during the same period last year. It’s about $2 million less than state revenue officials expected.
Adding table games was supposed to boost the state’s take from the video slot machines. Officials blame occasional bad weather and the draw of the Red Sox.
