Today's "Eastie Challenge" Campaign
Update:
Alright, neighbors. We're announcing a
mid-September "mini challenge" -- a "challenge within a challenge," if you will.
Let's see if we can get to $3,500 by Sunday night. That's just $1,630 more than
where we're at now. (50 people giving $33 each, 10 people giving $163 each, or
two giving $815) Whatever the amount, please give, and ask people you know to
give. $3,500 by end-of-day Sunday... go! (and don't forget about the
Eastie Spirit Saturday visibility and workday today, 9-noon,
starting at Sacred Heart Church)
Amount raised
yesterday: $120
Total raised in campaign:
$1,870
% of goal at day 3/10: 18.7%
Tip of the
day: Did you know the #1 reason people donate money is because
they're asked? Today, ask one person -- whether a neighbor here in Eastie
or a family member over email -- to give a little now to keep our neighborhood
livable later.
Donor quote of the day: "I contributed to No Eastie Casino because I
firmly believe that placing a casino in the midst of an urban neighborhood is a
negative for our quality of life. Gambling of this nature brings into a
community activities every person attempts to keep out of their neighborhood,
especially the crime factor." - Gail Miller
Thanks, Gail! And thank YOU
for helping us raise $10,000 in 10 days to keep Eastie great for
families!
