Associated Press - December 21, 2012 - Man pleads guilty in Atlantic City carjacking

One of the men charged in a fatal Atlantic City casino garage carjacking of a Middlesex County couple has pleaded guilty to murder.

Twenty-one-year-old Eric Darden faces 30 years in prison when he's sentenced in February. He could have gotten life in prison if convicted of all charges.

Darden and two other men from Camden are accused of robbing 28-year-old Sunil Rattu and 24-year-old Radha Ghetia and forcing them to drive from the Trump Taj Mahal parking garage to an alley, where they were shot in 2011.

Rattu died from two gunshot wounds to the head, while Ghetia survived.

The Press of Atlantic City ( http://bit.ly/VeLX3j) reports Darden denied in court Thursday that he was the shooter. Ghetia had identified Darden's weapon as the gun that was used.
