A Norfolk Superior Court judge dismissed a lawsuit Monday that was brought by the Ourway Realty firm, which plans to add slot machines to its Plainridge Racecourse, against a man who publicly opposed the idea, a statement from the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts said.
Thomas Keen helped set up a website that mentioned that gambling operations are linked to increases in neighborhood crime. The company sued Keen in June, seeking damages, as well as an injunction that would forbid further comments on the racetrack and its possible relationship with crime, the ACLU said.
