Police on the hunt for two rape and robbery suspects
KUALA LUMPUR: Police are hot on the heels of two male suspects believed to be involved in a rape-cum-robbery case at a reflexology centre in Jalan Genting Klang, Setapak here on Nov 25.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief Datuk Ku Chin Wah said police managed to arrest two other suspects last Thursday and Sunday.
"Both suspects, in their 20s, did not have a steady job and were nabbed at Sri Rampai and Setapak," he said in a media conference here Wednesday.
In the incident early Nov 25, two Vietnamese women who were workers at the premises were raped, while the owner sustained injuries to the ear after being slashed with a parang by one of the suspects.
Ku said police also seized a motorcycle, two mobile phones and two pieces of clothing worn by the suspects.
Meanwhile, police are also hunting down two parang-wielding suspects believed to be involved in robberies at 24-hour outlets in Sentul and Cheras since last September.
Their modus operandi was to carry out the crime early in the morning when there was only one sales assistant at work, said Ku.
"We hope for cooperation from the public with relevant information to approach the nearest police," he added. - Bernama
