Gov. LePage To Veto Gambling Bills
Bills Still Working Through Maine Legislature
AUGUSTA, Maine -- The effort to expand gambling in the state has received significant support in the Legislature, but it also may hit a snag if it gets to Gov. Paul LePage.
Lawmakers, this week, are expected to vote on two separate gambling bills. One would allow racinos in Biddeford and Washington County, the other would allow a casino in Lewiston.
However, the governor has said he will veto the bills if they get to his desk.
