Casino crimes are on the rise

Published: 5/23LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- The man charged with trying to steal high value chips from the Bellagio made his first court appearance today. Michael Belton is accused of trying to grab 23 Bellagio casino chips worth $115,000.
It is one of hundreds of gaming crimes that occur on the strip every year.
News 3's Sergio Avila joins us from the newsroom with more on how these types of crimes are on the rise. The gaming control board is reporting that crimes inside of casinos have almost doubled since 2008.
