Dear
friends and neighbors,
Thank
you for calling on Mayor Walsh and other representatives yesterday to speak out
against the unfair ruling of the Mass Gaming
Commission and to respect the vote of the people of East Boston. We must demand
that our voices continue to be heard and make it clear No Eastie Casino (NEC) is
as strong as ever.
As a
result of NEC's ongoing requests to meet with the new mayor, we are pleased to
report that we have been granted a meeting with the Mayor early next week. We
thank Mayor Walsh for meeting with us and, at this point, support the legal approach Mayor Walsh and his
team have taken. We will use our meeting to ask him once again to speak out
against the unfair ruling of the Mass Gaming Commission and ensure the vote of
East Boston is respected.
With Revere's February 25th vote rapidly
approaching, Revere's casino opposition movement, Don't Gamble on Revere, is growing
quickly but is in urgent need of funding and overall support. If you are
interested in donating or becoming involved, please visit the group's website
here: http://www.dontgamblerevere.com/.
Also, be sure to check out voices from No
Eastie Casino and Don't Gamble on Revere in yesterday's WBZ broadcast:
Thanks again and stay tuned for more,
The No Eastie Casino Team
