Gambling revenue down 12.5 percent; Elko’s win down 19.7 percent

CARSON CITY — Nevada casino revenues fell 12.5 percent in January, a decline blamed in large part on the timing of the Chinese New Year, the state Gaming Control Board reported Friday.
Elko County’s gaming win was down by an even greater percentage.
Wendover casinos.... in January, a decline of 15.5 percent from the same month last year. Other casinos in the county.... a decline of 19.7 percent.
Elsewhere, casino revenues fell 17 percent in Elko County, 5.7 percent in the Carson Valley area of western Nevada, and 2.6 percent at South Lake Tahoe.
