NEO to host public policy forum on gambling addiction

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) will host a public policy forum entitled “Dealing with Gambling Addiction” from 2-3:30 p.m, April 2, in the Blue and Gold Room of the Bruce Carter Student Union on NEO A&M campus.
The NEO Social Sciences Department is sponsoring the event. This benefits anyone who may have a gambling addiction or knows of someone who may have a gambling addiction.
“We have an excellent panel assembled for this topic. We have Wiley Harwell, a counselor for the Oklahoma Association for Problem and Compulsive Gambling, Lori Kurtz, a counselor and psychology instructor at NEO A&M, Linda Percy, the director of human resources at Buffalo Run Casino, and Cathy Scott, the accounting supervisor at Buffalo Run Casino,” said Dr. Jeff Birdsong, chair of NEO’s social science department. “This should be a very informative and useful for the students at NEO and for the community.”
