Painting a Happy, but false face on crime

Gambling Proponents are consistent - one thing you can say about them!

As in the article below, they extract only certain categories of CRIME as representative.

Crime escalates regionally over the years as Gambling Addiction becomes more widespread, except in the case of Genting/Aqueduct in New York where the City failed to increase police patrols in a poor neighborhood.

Personal bankruptcies escalate over time because of Gambling Addiction, a frequently ignored statistic. Embezzlements increase with Gambling Addiction and frequently go undiscovered for years.

In the case of Cleveland, additional patrols and surveillance were added that will decrease over time.

CLEVELAND -- With hundreds of thousands of people expected in downtown Cleveland for the Cleveland National Air Show, the city wants to restore its reputation for safety.

Recently released crime statistics show significant decreases in the number of reported property crimes in the last eight months.

There were 48 percent fewer car break-ins since January 2012 than last year during that same time frame.

Burglaries are down 31 percent and felony assaults are down 11 percent.

Recent robberies outside the Cleveland Horseshoe Casino and Progressive Field have some in the suburds [sic] steering clear of downtown.

City Safety Director Marty Flask says downtown Cleveland is much safer than what some perceive it to be.
