Springfield Residents to Voice Opinions Over Proposed Casino Tuesday Night

SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WGGB) — It’s expected to be a full house tonight at Springfield City Hall, as residents will get a chance to voice their opinion about a possible Springfield casino.

The City Council will hold a public speak out session at 5:00 p.m. before the council meets at 5:30 p.m. [At an inconvenient time for residents who work.]

Among the topics tonight is whether the city would use a city-wide or ward by ward vote when it comes to approving a city casino.

They’ll also be looking at mapping out possible casino zones, or areas of the city that would be most affected by a casino.

Again, the public portion is at 5:00 p.m. and we’ll have full coverage tonight on ABC40.
