Kraft/Wynn Foxborough: YUK!

Since Steve Wynn's eyesight is diminishing, maybe he can't see the monstrosity presented.

Since Michael Milken made Steve Wynn rich selling his junk bonds, maybe there are still suckers laying around waiting to flush $$$ down the toilet without figuring out that Slot Barns will attract ONLY LOCALS.

Gambling is wildly profitable which is why the massive blitz of glossy mailings and DVDs, paid people knocking on doors...maybe the residents of Foxborough are smarter than that.

Wait until they figure out the the puny Slot Barn in Palmer was going to cost $18 MILLION to $39 MILLION each year and that leaves the Kraft/Wynn Monster buckets short.

The folks in Foxborough still haven't figured out that they're subsidizing Kraft's enterprises already which is why they're broke.

Oh, well!

Worth viewing the photos of this monstrosity and wondering who designed it!

By the way -- Who's paying for the COMMUTER RAIL that will cost $100 MILLION and $4 MILLION per year to subsidize?

Wynn unveils renderings of proposed Foxborough casino
By Mark Arsenault

Las Vegas casino mogul Steve Wynn this morning released his first renderings of his proposed $1 billion gambling resort in Foxborough, making his pitch to win over the community in a glossy mailing, including a 20-minute DVD, sent to more than 7,000 households.

Wynn wants to develop what is now a vast gravel parking lot on Route 1 into a casino and convention center modeled after the design of his own luxury home in Sun Valley, Idaho, which is built of local stone and heavy timber. The plans in Foxborough include a 5,000-car parking garage, a pedestrian bridge connecting the project with Patriot Place, more retail stores, and a spa, in addition to a gambling room with slot machines and table games.

Wynn has added a new carrot to entice local voters: a public skating rink, useable year-round.

He is estimating that the town would get between $10 million and $15 million a year in tax revenue from the project, which the developer is calling Wynn Foxborough.

Wynn’s DVD includes renderings of the exterior of the hotel, the shopping promenade, a typical restaurant and the gambling room, as well as short testimonials from Foxborough residents who support the project.

Opposition to Wynn’s plans has been boisterous since the developer confirmed in December than he is eyeing land across from Gillette Stadium owned by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft for a casino. Opponents quickly organized, and public hearings on the issue have drawn large and rowdy crowds.
