Head of Mass. Gaming Commission has never been to a casino to gamble
Stepson gave him 'Casino Gambling for Dummies'
(FOX25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Stephen Crosby, the chairman designate of the new Massachusetts Gaming Commission, has never set foot in a casino to gamble.
Crosby told the Boston Business Journal he’s never been to the Connecticut casinos and that his stepson gave him "Casino Gambling for Dummies."
Crosby said his position over bringing casinos to the Bay State has evolved, telling the newspaper he had been at most an "unenthusiastic supporter" of the idea and sometimes an "active opponent" to expanded gambling.
Currently, Wynn Resorts, Ameristar Casinos, and Caesars Entertainment Corp. have lined up with developers to compete for casino licenses in Massachusetts. [They left a whole bunch out! Guess no one noticed.]
