Stephen Crosby Finally Visits Does He know what he saw?

Appointed in December, Stephen Crosby finally made the trip to Mohegan Sun in March? Did he notice the Tribe's debt and insolvency?

Did he notice the Gambling Addicts?

Were there children wandering the halls, left unattended by Gambling Addicted parents?

Wonder if he was blinded by the glitter of Fools' Gold? Wonder if he believes the 'Wonder of it All' to suck discretionary income from local economies will be Massachusetts' future. Did he notice the 'lack of economic development'? Did he notice the low wage workers walking to work? You know? The ones living in substandard housing called 'hut houses'? The ones recruited from overseas who don't speak English?

Massachusetts Gaming Commission Chairman Stephen Crosby made a private visit to Mohegan Sun on March 16, casino spokeswoman Cathy Soper said.

The Boston Business Journal reported the trip by Crosby and his wife, Helen. Mohegan Sun is competing for one of three resort casino licenses in Massachusetts and hopes to build in the town of Palmer.

“This was not something we were notified of, nor did a Mohegan Sun representative escort him around,” Soper wrote in an email Thursday. It was Crosby’s first visit to a Connecticut casino, Boston Business Journal reported.
