NORWALK, Conn. (AP) — Norwalk police raided an illegal casino in an office building and arrested six alleged bosses and card dealers, while one gambler tried to escape by jumping out a third-story window but was critically injured.

A police SWAT team burst into the third-floor room of the East Avenue building Wednesday night. Authorities say they found about two dozen gamblers and several people running the operation, which included five tables for Texas Hold 'em poker.

Police say a Monroe resident jumped out of a window and is in critical condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital. The person's name wasn't released.

Authorities say the operation was called "Casino Royale" and included a fortified door and surveillance cameras in the hallways.

The six people were charged with gambling crimes and held on $5,000 bonds.
