Kasich Puts Brakes On Track Slots
Gov.-Elect Wants To Study Issue
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio Gov.-elect John Kasich is putting the lottery commission's plans for slot machines at racetracks on hold.
A spokesman said Kasich has mixed emotions about the issue and wants to study the proposal.
Opponents said the machines are illegal according to the state constitution.
Track owners said slots would help protect thousands of jobs and provide a much needed increase in revenue.
