In just 2-3 weeks,
the New Hampshire House will vote on SB152, an irreparably flawed bill that
would:
- Cannibalize good jobs
and revenues from thousands of local businesses and nonprofits,
- Spread slots parlors
and gambling addiction statewide,
- Fail to provide even
a nickel for the coming budget,
- Enrich the Las Vegas
gambling company whose lobbyists wrote the bill.
While we are slightly
ahead in our vote count, a variety of interest groups given a "piece of the
action" in the bill are putting ferocious pressure on undecided House members.
To defeat this
Frankenstein of a casino bill, we are
depending completely on each of you receiving this email to call your
Representative. One call asking your undecided Representative to vote NO
on SB152.
Said more bluntly: if
you don't call your Rep, we lose.
Even if you've called
earlier this year,
hit reply,
give me your residence town,
and I will send you
brief talking points and the phone number for one undecided House member who
represents you.
Then ... make the
call this evening.
