Unlike Beacon Hill

Reading the article below, it was striking that an elected official would waiver in his support for the phony claims of "Jobs, Revenue, Jobs, Revenue" of Predatory Gambling, unlike Beacon Hill that prides itself on meeting behind closed doors, allowing their egos to be stroked, absorbing phony numbers and conducting sham hearings.

Remember that we have a Massachusetts Senate President who prides herself on never reading anything "ANTI" and a House Speaker who doles out chairmenships and offices based on obedience.

Vancouver Mayor on Timing of Council Decision on Casino
Vancouver/CKNW(AM980)

Vancouver’s Mayor says council will make a decision on the proposed mega casino before the next civic election.

Gregor Robertson says while they still have many people to listen to at their next public hearing it's better for everyone involved to have a decision made in the next few months. With gambling addiction concerns being raised Robertson says council needs to keep an open mind

"It’s important and quite significant that we're hearing on a public health front that there are real concerns that’s unusual at council"

He says council will meet with Vancouver Coastal Health next Monday to gather more information.
