BOSTON — State Sen. Jennifer L. Flanagan, D-Leominster, is one of three members named today to the joint House and Senate conference committee charged with resolving differences between House and Senate versions of a casino gambling bill.
Also named to the committee today was Sen. Stanley C. Rosenberg, D-Amherst, and Sen. Richard J. Ross, R-Wrentham.
State Rep. Paul K. Frost, R-Auburn; Rep. Joseph F. Wagner, D-Chicopee; and Rep. Brian S. Dempsey, D-Haverhill were named last week as the House delegates.
Expanded gambling supporters have said they are hoping the Legislature enacts a bill allowing three casinos and a slot machine resort before the Legislature ends formal sessions for the year in mid-November.
