BECAUSE the biggest gamblers in the world are Asians, notably the Chinese, gaming operations in Las Vegas were down to $6 billion in winnings last year. Those of Macao were recorded at $23 billion.

Cristino “Bong” Naguiat, chairman and chief executive officer of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp., told Malaya Business Insight in an exclusive interview that the Chinese find Atlantic City and Las Vegas too far for gaming.

They prefer places closer to home, Naguiat said.
