Casinos = FREE ALCOHOL = More DUIs

Drunk Drivers place us all at risk, but even more so when FREE ALCOHOL is served at state sanctioned Slot Parlors as Beacon Hill endorsed.

FREE ALCOHOL will be served 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Let's stop kidding ourselves about what Beacon Hill is proposing. For $600 Million, you get Slots in a Box where local patrons will drive home.

In view of the recent incidents of Massachusetts State Troopers being injured - 5 in the last 5 weeks, one tragically killed, all in the line of duty while performing their jobs, Beacon Hill voted to increase DUIs.

One only needs to consider the performance of potential licensees elsewhere --

The costs of additional patrols has NOT been considered by Beacon Hill, nor will it be paid for by the wealthy Gambling Investors. This is another cost taxpayers will be forced to bear to subsidize wealthy Casino Investors who live elsewhere because no INDEPENDENT COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS has been performed.

Police ask to step up patrols on highways
Say drunk drivers put them in danger

TAUNTON — As authorities brought drunken driving charges yesterday against a motorist who slammed into a police cruiser over the weekend — the fifth time in as many weeks that a Massachusetts state trooper has been struck on a roadside — the head of the State Police union called for a sweeping crackdown on impaired motorists.

The Cape Cod Times reported --

PROVINCETOWN — Bar owners who wanted to stay open until 1:45 a.m. under a decision by the town licensing board were stopped in their tracks Thursday by the zoning board of appeals.

By law, the board had to consider whether the social, economic or other benefits of the proposal outweighed any adverse effects such as hazard, congestion or environmental degradation. In considering the request, zoning board members focused on the question of congestion and late-night disturbances in the town's neighborhoods, with bar patrons returning home later,....

The irresponsible actions on Beacon Hill place us all at greater risk without any benefits.
