THE CASINO & HOMELESSNESS: Amherst Professor Dr. Robert Goodman reported that “"...in Atlantic City, homelessness increased after the introduction of casinos, while clothing stores and eating and drinking establishments declined. Only a few (new) retail stores opened in the off-Boardwalk and downtown areas."
