In a case out of Moscow that has already had its fair share of corruption, intrigue, betrayal and the Mafia, we now have a new dimension being added, a corrupt son! Artyom Chaika the son of Moscow’s Prosecutor General is going to be questioned by the Investigation Committee in the ongoing illegal gambling case, which has involved the regions top prosecutor and his deputy. Investigators plan on questioning the Prosecutor General’s son over his involvement in the illegal gambling ring that was raided earlier this month, which was run by alleged mafia kingpin Ivan Nazarov. An anonymous witness has reportedly informed investigators that Artyom Chaika’s people have been involved with coordinating relations between the prosecutor’s office and the Mafioso.

Investigators initially opened a criminal case into the gambling ring, only for the prosecutors to close it the next day.

Last month, the FSB said the operation was raking in up to $10 million per month. The case also exposed the seeming privileged position of Chaika's son.
