Hi all, Quick reminder that we are meeting tonight Wednesday June 18 from 6-8 PM at the Sacred Heart Church, 303 Paris St. East Boston. During the meeting, we will provide an update on strategy and make signs to hold outside the June 24 hearing. If you have sign-making materials, please bring them! Full email from yesterday below. ++++++++++++ Dear Friends, A huge thank you to everyone who helped gather and sort signatures for the Repeal the Deal campaign! With your help and passion, Repeal the Deal will file more than 26,000 signatures (twice the required amount) from across Massachusetts and are confident they will easily clear the final threshold to earn a spot on the November ballot if the state's highest court doesn't block the petition. Now, we are quickly pivoting our attention to the upcoming Massachusetts Gaming Commission's final public hearing on Tuesday, June 24 at 4pm at Revere High School, 101 School Street. With a decision from the commission expected in late August or early September, this meeting is absolutely critical. To prepare for this meeting, please join us tomorrow, Wednesday June 18 from 6-8 PM at the Sacred Heart Church, 303 Paris St. East Boston. During the meeting, we will provide an update on strategy and make signs to hold outside the June 24 hearing. If you have sign-making materials, please bring them! Here is what else you can do to help: Sign up to speak on June 24 ASAP. Anyone can do this! We will help with talking points but we need the maximum number of speakers to sign up and show our strength. Please send an email requesting to speak to mgccomments@state.ma.us with the subject line "Request to Address the Commission/Mohegan Sun MA." You can also send written comments to the same address under separate cover. Please request a confirmation. Do you have contacts at any Boston-area or Revere organizations who may be able to join in our fight and possibly speak at the hearing? If so, please let us know.
