Question - How much of that stolen money does the casinos have to pay back?

Answer - NONE

Associated Press - June 29, 2014 - Flooring co. bookkeeper charged with $500K theft

RAMSEY, N.J. (AP) — A northern New Jersey woman is being charged with stealing about $500,000 from her job as bookkeeper for a flooring company.

Police in Ramsey tell The Record (http://bit.ly/1pMGjaj) that Monica Arencibia allegedly stole the money over a four-year period and used most of it to gamble at casinos.

The 49-year-old Dumont woman is charged with money laundering, theft by deception, computer theft and forgery.

Authorities say Arencibia was in charge of payroll and bills for Ramsey-based Modern Flooring Co. She allegedly created checks through a computer program, issued them in her name and forged the signatures of vendors. Some of the checks allegedly contained notations such as "Xmas Bonus," ''Med Expenses" and "Commission."

She was being held on $250,000 bail. It wasn't immediately known if she had an attorney.
