When Middleboro became "Ground Zero" as a Tribal Casino was rammed through surrounded by lies while our questions were ignored or worse, we were graveled to silence.

We were to learn that was the way Casino Tyranny begins, just as the Massachusetts House Speaker "Racino" DeLeo exemplified. He refused to support an Independent Cost Benefit Analysis that the Governor, Attorney General and many others supported. He claimed he met with "Opponents," whatever that means. When asked who, he ignored the inquiry. He claimed MMA 'endorsed' his proposal, which they hadn't. He refused to allow public hearings, claiming they had already been held, which obscures the facts. Most Representatives deferred to the Speaker with their opinion by simply wimping out with "We don't know what the Speaker will propose."

When the truth is obscured and the facts of revenues and job creation are conspicuously exaggerated, personal and shared research and reading becomes the only reliable source of information.
