Regulators investigating Sands and MGM

Behind closed doors, Beacon Hill has crafted slot legislation wrapped with a Crime Bill and denied public input.

DeLeo's fantasy is cloaked in false promises lacking facts, overstated revenues and jobs, without basic protections for Massachusetts taxpayers.

Beacon Hill, authors of the Big Dig, would have us genuflect at their competence without question.

Situations, such as those below, are among those issues that Beacon Hill has ignored in their willingness to be dazzled by false promises:

Nevada to investigate Sands casino activity in Macau
Nevada's Gaming Control Board said it was analyzing possible links between Las Vegas Sands casinos in Macau and Chinese criminal elements. "At the conclusion of our analysis of the situation in its entirety, this agency will move appropriately as governed by Nevada law and standards required of our Nevada licenses," said Randall Sayre, a member of the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Meanwhile, Illinois regulators are investigating MGM Mirage for its Macau operations as well.
