Casino manager with gambling addiction steals $28,000

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Authorities in Jefferson and St. John the Baptist parishes have arrested a casino manager with a gambling addiction who allegedly stole $28,000 from two of the facilities she supervised.
NOLA.com/The Times Picayune reports (http://bit.ly/1qXm7sA ) 55-year-old Renee Dibble, of Ponchatoula, faces a charge of felony theft in both parishes.
Dibble worked for Metro Gaming and Amusement Co. managing the Poker Palace inside the LaPlace Travel Center truck stop in LaPlace and the Kenner Airport Casino in Kenner.
Kenner Police spokesman, Lt. Brian McGregor, says Dibble was responsible for replenishing the casinos' ATMs and began pocketing some of that cash instead of putting it into the machines.

Dibble was released on $15,000 bond in St. John the Baptist and held on $30,000 bond in Jefferson but was released because of jail overcrowding.
