Thank you all so much for taking heed to our URGENT call to action a week ago. After diligently looking over the "continuing resolution" to keep the government running, no Carcieri "fix" language was found.

No Carcieri fix in 111th Congress
The Senate voted 79-16 on a continuing resolution mid-afternoon Tuesday, Dec. 21 to fund the federal government through March 4. There is no Carcieri fix in the bill. The House was to approve the measure later in the day. The current funding was to expire at midnight Dec. 21.

this IS good news! And we have the appeals court ruling today too! Fall River has been saved from the land sale for a casino. We are happy. Surprised and happy.
