The surveillance video doesn’t have audio, but it’s easy to see that John Binns is upset with the staff at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City. But after hotel security gets involved – forcefully – with him and his wife and daughter, the situation escalates physically.
The video above is one example of what some customers said was overly aggressive physical abuse by Harrah’s security. Harrah’s declined to comment on specific cases but said, its security personnel “are trained to use the least amount of force required to manage any particular incident while ensuring they are taking necessary steps to protect guests, employees and themselves.”
Tune in for more in the full ABC News investigation Friday on “20/20″.

Guests sue Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City over security guard beatings: report

A Florida family and two others have filed lawsuits claiming casino security acted like thuggish goon squads and attacked them during disputes at the famed gambling mecca. In one case, a family said, their 17-year-old daughter's nose was broken.

Sean Oaks, 26, (shown above on security footage) said he was beaten up by security guards at Harrah's poolside nightclub in May 2014.
Make trouble at Harrah's, and there's a good bet you'll get a beating.

So says a Florida family and two other men who security footage shows were pummeled by guards during disputes at the famed resort in Atlantic City, ABC's "20/20" reports.

In each case the alleged victims, who are suing the hotel, said the casino's guards were the aggressors, leaving two men bloodied and a teenager with a broken nose.

One of the lawsuits was filed by the Binns family, of Cape Coral, Fla.

John Binns, his wife, Renee, and their 17-year-old daughter were on vacation at the gambling mecca in August 2012 when the hotel suddenly evicted them before their trip was up, reportedly due to a booking mix-up, according to the report, set to air Friday night.

Binns was a pro poker player and had stayed at the hotel many times, his lawyer said.
